Re: IMPORTANT INFORMATION Regarding Restructuring of HR Functions for RBHS Stratford

As we continue to make progress toward effectively integrating the new Rutgers, I am reaching out to you to provide an update regarding changes made to streamline University Human Resources business processes and restructure service delivery. These changes are designed to improve the employee experience and reduce response times, while creating consistency across the university.

Benefits Questions

Employees with benefits questions should reach out to the benefits hotline – (848) 932-3990 – or email benefits representatives via the benefits@hr.rutgers.edu general inbox. Benefits representatives will be available via the hotline or general email inbox to assist employees with general State Health Benefits Plan (SHBP) and retirement program inquiries, to make changes to benefits enrollment on the basis of a defined life event (http://uhr.rutgers.edu/worklife-balance/life-events), to assist employees with non-State benefits questions, and to support the university during the annual open enrollment period.  Benefits enrollment forms can be emailed to the benefits general email inbox or faxed to (732) 932-6208.

New Employee Orientation

New Employee Orientation will be held on the Rutgers-Camden campus. New Employees will receive a communication from HR Staff, advising them of the date, time and location of the orientation session. During orientation, new benefits-eligible employees will be able to enroll in the State Health Benefits Plan (SHBP) and applicable retirement plan. The RU-Camden Human Resources staff will work with the appropriate benefits representatives to facilitate enrollment for new eligible employees in units associated with RBHS-Stratford.
